CENTRAL COMMAND AREA--Fourteen New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to C Company 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion who received the Combat Action Badge from Lt. Col. Between March 18 and 24, the competitors went through a rigorous gauntlet of tasks and events including the Army combat fitness test individual weapons qualification timed 12-mile ruck march land navigation and a review board to determine the best squad in the brigade. The 101st mission is to provide tactical communications throughout the United States Central Command Area of Operations. Mario Scaduto in Yonkers New York on Dec. 16 2023 accompanied by members of the Stewart Air National Guard Base Fire Department. Scaduto had served in the 105th Civil Engineering Squadron. He was one of over 1900 veterans honored by the New York Air National Guard in 2023.
