Change of Command for New York Guard unit

QUEENS- New York Guard members assigned to the 15th Detachment of the 88th Area Command stand at parade rest during a change of command ceremony held at the Whitestone Armory on Jan. 26, 2020. Capt. Joseph Polcha was replaced as the detachment commander by 2nd Lt. Zachary Perkins. The New York Guard is the state's volunteer self-defense force which augments New York National Guard units during state emergencies.
