CAMP SMITH- Soldiers competing in the New York Army National Guard's Best Warrior competition engage targets with M-9 pistols on Friday, March 27. The pistol shooting event was included so that competitors had a chance to qualify for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge during the four-day event. Specialist Michael Rowland from Glens Falls, a member of the 501st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion, was named best enlisted Soldier and Staff Sgt. Christian Hager from Batavia, a member of Company A, 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry was picked as top NCO.
