Moving a Block Trains Homeland Responders

ORISKANY-New York Army National Guard Sgt. John Grace, member of the 1156th Engineer Company Search and Extraction Team, places a roller in front of a two-ton block as it moves 75 feet past obstacles at the New York State Preparedness Training Center, May 14, 2012. The exercise helped train Soldiers to rescue civilians from collapsed buildings and is one component of Homeland Response Force validation training for supporting civil authorities in the event of a national disaster.
