As a member of the Army National Guard Nurse Corps, you will be valued for your leadership and expertise. Your professional judgment will be the driving force behind ensuring that all aspects of a patient's care are addressed and you'll be responsible for initiating coordination of a patient's multidisciplinary care.
Because you're a Soldier and a Nurse, you'll be able to understand the special concerns and needs of your Soldier patients, allowing you to better serve them. Identifying with your fellow Soldiers is essential to providing effective healthcare for them.
As a member of the Army National Guard Healthcare Professional Team, you will work directly with other highly dedicated professionals. As a Nurse and a commissioned Officer, you will also be trained as a leader.
Requirements
To qualify for an appointment as an Officer in the Army National Guard Nurse Corps, you must:
- Meet the prescribed medical and moral standards for appointment as a commissioned Officer;
- Be a United States citizen;
- Have either an Associate's degree in nursing, a three-year nursing diploma, or a BS in nursing; have a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing;
- Have a valid, unrestricted RN license in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States;
- Be 21-48 years of age;
