Fire Fighting Training in the Hudson River

SCHUYLERVILLE--A New York Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter operating out of Army Aviation Support Facility 3 at the Albany International Airport fills a "Bambi Bucket" in the Hudson River during fire fighting training conducted on Wednesday, July 28.
New York Army National Guard helicopters stand read to support state and local fire services in fighting forest and grass fires during the summer months. Helicopter crews train regularly during the summer on the right way to fill one of the 660 gallon buckets and then practice manuevering to drop the water on a simulated fire.
